Friday, May 16th | Inspired Rootz: RBG Edition
Location: Grassrootz Bookstore
Inspired Rootz is a showcase of Black artistry, creativity, and expression, featuring poets, comedians, and musicians who use their talents to inspire, entertain, and uplift the community. This special RBG Edition will highlight performers whose work reflects themes of culture and Black excellence. Attendees will experience an evening of spoken word, live music and comedic performances celebrating the rich artistic traditions that continue to fuel our movement.
Saturday, May 17th | Black Family Conference
Location: Phoenix Center for the Arts
The Black Family Conference is a day of empowerment, education, and dialogue focused on strengthening Black families and communities. Through impactful discussions and interactive sessions, we’ll explore cultural identity, economic self-sufficiency, health, and intergenerational connections. A panel of experts will share insights on key issues, followed by a Q&A session for meaningful engagement and actionable strategies.
Sunday, May 18th | Temple of Nu Afrikan Unity
Location: MODABA Education Center
The Temple of Nu Afrikan Unity is a spiritual and cultural gathering dedicated to unity, resilience, and self-determination. Centering African identity and collective empowerment, it features two dynamic speakers—one male and one female—sharing insights on cultural restoration, community, and unity in liberation. This sacred space fosters reflection, dialogue, and spiritual renewal as we strengthen our bonds.
